Our Founders
Our founders are doctors in their respective disciplines with expertise in Biochemistry, Immunology, and Nanoemulsion technology. They developed the propriety technology that serves as the foundation of Nano Bella’s products. Our products are tested by hundreds of people before they are made available to you. After countless carefully planned iterations, we have hand-selected only our most impressive formulations.
We endeavor to combine scientific methodology and good faith business practices to create the best possible experience for our customers. We are confident that all our products will make you look spectacular and feel rejuvenated.
Sothi Thillairajah
Co-Founder and CEO
Sober and in recovery for over twenty-five years, Sothi’s work with combat veterans dealing with the affliction of opioid addiction was the catalyst for the founding of Nano Bella. The company was conceived with the intention of producing THC-free, non-habit forming, and non-psychoactive cannabinoid products that meaningfully improve the quality of life for those dealing with post-traumatic stress symptoms. Prior to Co-founding Nano Bella, his work involved industrial hemp seed genetics, planting, harvesting and extraction. He previously served as an officer for several early-stage companies and spent the early part of his career in investment banking. Sothi holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago.
Dr. Gowri Coomaraswamy Ph.D.
Co-Founder and Chief Scientist
Dr. Gowri is a molecular biologist with a specialization in immunology and biochemistry. Her understanding of CBG’s ability to impact both the CB1 receptor that THC binds to and the CB2 receptor that CBD binds to without being psychoactive or habit forming was foundational to the development of Nano Bella’s product line. She engineered the development of Nano Bella’s isolate-based protocols on the premise that in order to deploy cannabinoids in therapeutic applications, the inputs had to be specific, measurable, and repeatable in order for the outcomes to be the same. Her early research focused on the oral hypoglycemic activity of medicinal plants. She holds a Masters in Immunology from George Washington University and a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and Genetic Engineering from the University of Illinois.
Dr. Manish Kumar Ph.D.
Chief Chemist
Dr. Manish’s doctoral thesis focused on the formulation and evaluation of Nanoemulsion drug delivery systems. He led the development and stability testing of Nano Bella’s proprietary CBG and Hemp isolate Nanoemulsion technology. He has published numerous papers on Nanoemulsion drug delivery systems and has unique insight into optimal Nanoemulsion methods for organic hydrophobic bioactives (Vitamins A, D, E and K). Dr. Manish is an Assistant Professor in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Dr. Rav Ivker
Medical Advisor
Over the past ten years, Dr. Rav has evaluated and treated more than nine thousand chronic pain patients using medical marijuana. He is the author of Cannabis for Chronic Pain (Simon & Schuster, Sept. 2017), an introduction to the sub-specialty of Cannabis Medicine.
Michael Bowman
Board Chair
Michael was the Founding Chair of the National Hemp Association. He is a pioneer in the US hemp industry who authored Section 7606 of the 2014 Farm Bill, the provision that, for the first time since passage of the 1933 Farm Bill, grants farmers the right to cultivate hemp in states where hemp production is now legal. Michael is a founding board member of numerous hemp advocacy organizations including the Rocky Mountain Hemp Association and the Colorado Industrial Hemp Commission.
